Pausha Purnima is a quiet yet powerful point in the Vedic lunar calendar: the purest full moon of the winter season, traditionally a time of purification, slowing down, and renewal. In India, this day is also considered a water festival — people go to the rivers to wash away the imprints of difficult times and start the new month with fresh energy.
Water is not only a physical element at this time, but also a memory-carrying, cleansing force: it helps to “wash away” everything that no longer serves us. Continuing this tradition, our evening also includes a delicate, gentle water blessing, in which we work with the intention of purification and a fresh start.
